PA State Cheerleading Championships to Return to KCAC This Saturday

PA State Cheerleading, now in its 28th consecutive year, will bring the competition back to Indiana, PA this weekend on Saturday, November 21st. 2015.

The PA State Cheerleading Championships is the premier event for Pennsylvania cheerleaders and it is the fourth year that the competition will be hosted at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC). Formerly held at the Johnstown War Memorial for 23 years, Debbie McQuillen, head of Pennsylvania State Cheerleading, stated that theKCAC “is the perfect facility to host our event. It is a beautiful venue and allows cheerleading squads and their families from all over the state of Pennsylvania to experience all that Indiana, PA has to offer. It also allows the kids to see what a great community IUP is in and gives them something to think about when it comes to their future schooling.”

This year, more than 125 squads will be competing for titles in All Star and School divisions. In total, over 2500 cheerleaders and their families will be in attendance at theKCAC on Saturday.
